Happy Thanksgiving!

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I thought I’d share my pumpkin pie recipe.  This was handed down to me from my mom.

2 cups pumpkin (mashed)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves
2 Tbsp. flour
3 cups milk

Beat pumpkin then add sugar, eggs and spices.  Beat together.  Gradually add flour.  Heat milk and add to pumpkin mixture, stirring all the while.  Pour into unbaked pie shells.  Bake at 350F for 1/2 hour or until pumpkin begins to set (thicken).

Note:  For more pumpkin flavour combine 3 cups pumpkin and 2 cups milk.

Top with whipped cream.

May your day be blessed with wonderful family memories.  Remember the past, focus on the present, hope for the future.  From my family to yours, happy Thanksgiving!
